Data Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your data associated with the Sherlock mobile application ("the App"), operated by Kurdsoft ("we," "us," or "our"). Sherlock does not require you to create an account — your data is tied to an anonymous device identifier.

How to delete your data

You can delete all of your data directly inside the App at any time:

Open the Sherlock app.
Go to Settings (gear icon at the top of the home screen).
Scroll to the Data section.
Tap Delete My Data and confirm.

This immediately removes your local data (search history and survey answers stored on your device) and submits a request to permanently delete your associated server-side data.

What is deleted

Your local search history and uploaded-photo cache on the device.
Your survey/onboarding answers.
Your anonymous account identifier and associated credit/usage records on our servers.

Photos are never stored. Images you upload for a search are processed transiently to perform the search and are not retained on our servers after the search completes.

Retention

Local data is deleted instantly on your device. Any associated server-side data is permanently deleted within 24 hours of your request. Some records may be retained only where required to comply with legal obligations or to prevent fraud or abuse.
