What is Face Embedding?
A mathematical representation of a face as a vector of numbers (typically 128-512 dimensions). Created by deep learning neural networks, face embeddings capture the essential geometric features of a face in a compact format that can be compared against millions of other embeddings efficiently. Two photos of the same person produce similar embeddings, even across different lighting, angles, and expressions.
How Sherly Uses Face Embedding
Sherly is a mobile face search app that leverages face embedding to help you verify identities, detect catfishing, and stay safe online. Download Sherly on iOS or Android to try it yourself — free searches included, no account required.
