What is On-Device Processing?

A privacy-preserving approach where sensitive data (like face photos) is processed directly on the user's device rather than being sent to a remote server. Sherly uses Apple's Vision framework for on-device face detection and cropping — the raw photo and facial landmark data never leave your phone. Only the cropped face image is sent to perform the web search.

How Sherly Uses On-Device Processing

Sherly is a mobile face search app that leverages on-device processing to help you verify identities, detect catfishing, and stay safe online. Download Sherly on iOS or Android to try it yourself — free searches included, no account required.
